CALLING ALL UK CARTOONISTS & CARICATURISTS
We’ve been busy sketching, drawing and painting the Queen ahead of the Diamond Jubilee holiday. Our friends at the Salon International de la Caricature, du Dessin de Presse et d’Humour have asked us to help put the word out; at their 31st event they want cartoons and caricatures of or about Elizabeth II, especially from artists in the UK.
Each year the Salon covers multiple themes. In the Diamond Jubilee year they are looking work old and new concerning Her Majesty. So raid your portfolios or, if you feel inspired, get a new likeness done and send it to:

The organisers have asked that cartoons be submitted by the end of June. There are no restrictions on media or size but we tend to submit either A4 or A3 pieces. The artworks or insured while in the Salon’s care and go on display to the public from the 29th of September to the 7th of October, returned to the artists thereafter.
If you’ve never been to the Salon, we highly recommend it. Cartoonists are encouraged to attend either the opening or closing weekends (Friday to Sunday); return rail travel from Paris to the village or transport to and from Limoges airport, meals and accommodation while in St. Just are provided.
